Our Network
Our data centre is located in the Docklands (London). It has been successfully established for over 3 years and has a reputation of maintaining normal operations whilst other internet facilities in the area have not.
Connectivity
The data centre links directly to the major POP’s in England where we undertake transit from no less than four Tier 1 International Transit Providers (Telia, Level 3, T Systems and AboveNet), with our own private peering to Telx, New York, USA. We use multiple high capacity fibre links which are disparately routed and arranged in an auto fallover configuration for greater reliability.
This ensures that our connectivity is fully redundant and active management means that we have the best possible links in place - guaranteeing that all routes to and from our network traverse the least number of hops with the minimum delay. We are one of the only providers to use QoS from our network borders (Demarc) to ensure high performance across our backbone.
Climate Control
To ensure optimum performance, the Data Centre runs 2 Liebert Air Conditioning systems arranged in failover mode for redundancy. The data floor is maintained at a constant 21°C ± 2°C and relative humidity is kept at 50% ± 10%. Each of our air conditioning systems are able to run in isolation to maintain the ambient temperature.
Power
The Data Centre has 2 diverse incoming primary power feeds and several UPS systems supporting both core and hosted platforms.
Security
The Data Centre operates from an alarmed, secure premises, it has two state of the art CCTV systems. These monitor both the data centre itself and the buildings in which it is located. Both of CCTV systems are monitored 24/7 by our own Security Staff.
Fire Suppression
Our datacenter does not rely on automatic water based sprinkler systems which are known to needlessly destroy equipment. We use smoke and temperature alarms which are monitored and where neccessary backed up by manual intervention, this allows us to best deal with the needs of the emergency and prevents the needless loss of data when there is a false alarm.
